My method is to support my body with dressing correctly. Your body loses most of its heat on the feet and on the head. Wear sufficient footwear and two pairs of socks if needed: I do.

I keep the temperature in my apartment at an even 51 degrees. The most dangerous times are not the cold spells, but the warmer days.

When you feel warm, maybe too warm, you tend to shed a few layers of clothes, and these are the times when your body doesn’t know what to do: and its confusion causes you to be without defenses: your immune system isn’t alerted that some parts of your body are too cold.

Drinking cold beverages because you are hot, or taking your jacket off because you are hot, or opening the car window because you are hot… all excellent opening acts for a nasty cold.

Keeping yourself at an even temperature is the goal, so the body doesn’t get confused.

In addition to keeping myself at an even temperature, I make sure I sleep well, and that I sleep warm enough for the early morning hours when the body temperature goes lowest.

When just like now, I feel cold in the afternoon, I go under the cover and read for about an hour, to warm myself back up.

I also eat less than normal: digesting food uses up a lot of energy.

And, of course, I use my energy remedies religiously, Drink 10-15 cups of water or tea, total, and take my Vitamin D3.The next time you know you are getting the short end of the stick, come back and pay us a visit.
